We have Far Exceed our 2009 Goal! Thank you!

Dear Sikorsky employees, contractors and vendors,

On behalf of the Sikorsky Aircraft Firefighters IAFF Local I-68, thank you for your generosity to our annual MDA campaign. Your support allowed us to go above and beyond our MDA goal. This was achieved by our annual “Fill the Boot” drive, Clambake, tee shirtand donations – both mailed and online. After all was said and done, bills were paid – fire fighter Kevin Pelham presented a check for $19,100.00 at this years MDA Telethon on September 7th, 2009.

For more than 50 years, the International Association of fire Fighters has partnered with MDA in the fight against neuromuscular disease. Our Local, is proud to be an active participant in this fight and all funds raised will be utilized to improve the quality of life for the individuals and families in our community that MDA serves.

IAFF Local I-68 has started our 2009 Fill The Boot campaign in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. We are the first fire department in the country to have an MDA on-line donation page.
